These policies are in place to help ensure everyone’s safety, comfort, and enjoyment during their stay at Cedar Cove Camping. Thank you for your cooperation.

Adults-Only Campground

  • Cedar Cove Campground is an adults-only campground. This policy helps maintain a calm and relaxed atmosphere for our camping community.

Season of Operation

  • Cedar Cove Campground is open for the season from May 15 to September 30. All bookings and stays must fall within this operating period.

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in: 2:00 PM
  • Check-out: 11:00 AM

(Please contact us in advance if you require special arrangements.)

Vehicles & Parking

  • Only vehicles belonging to registered campers are permitted on site
  • Maximum of 2 vehicles per site
  • Visitor vehicles must park in the designated Visitors Parking Lot
  • Boats and additional recreational vehicles are not permitted on campsites
  • Designated storage areas are available — please contact management

Visitors

  • Campers are responsible for the conduct of their family members and guests
  • Guests are not permitted on site unless the registered camper is present
  • After 10:00 PM, only registered campsite occupants are permitted on sites
  • Visitors must leave the campground in the evening unless registered
  • Overnight visitors must be registered and pay $15 per night

Noise & Quiet Enjoyment

  • Campers must not interfere with others’ quiet enjoyment at any time
  • Loud music, shouting, or disruptive behaviour is not permitted
  • If your neighbour is disturbed by your noise, it is likely too loud
  • Please report disturbances to management

Quiet Hours: 11 PM – 9 AM

  • During quiet hours, generators and loud conversations are not permitted

Alcohol & Cannabis

  • Alcohol and cannabis use is permitted only at your registered campsite
  • Consumption is also permitted at designated events and approved common areas

Pets

  • Pets must be kept on a leash at all times
  • Pets may not be left unattended
  • Please clean up after your pet
  • Pets must not disturb other campers

Campfires & Fire Safety

  • Campfires are permitted only in designated fireplaces and on the beach, when allowed
  • Do not collect firewood from the forest
  • Firewood is available for purchase at the front office
  • Please observe the Fire Index sign located at the campground entrance
  • Open fires are not permitted during provincial fire bans

Garbage & Recycling

  • Place non-recyclable waste in the two large garbage bins provided
  • These bins are intended primarily for food waste and small items
  • Large items (including furniture, mattresses, televisions, gazebo frames, carpets, and large cardboard boxes) must be taken home
  • Refundable bottles and cans may be placed in designated recycling bins

Cleanliness & Site Care

  • Campsites must be kept clean and orderly at all times
  • Avoid accumulating excessive items around your camper
  • Excessive messiness may be addressed by management
  • Seasonal campers are responsible for cutting their lawn

Seafood Disposal

  • Fish remains and shellfish waste attract odours and pests
  • We recommend returning fish remains and shellfish to the ocean
    “What comes from the sea returns to the sea.”

Speed Control

  • 10 km/h speed limit at all times
  • Drive slowly at all times to minimize dust and ensure safety, especially during dry weather

Beach Use

  • The beach area is unsupervised
  • Use of the beach is at your own risk

Construction & Site Modifications

  • All construction requires prior approval from management
  • Construction is permitted up to July 1
  • July and August are reserved for rest and relaxation
  • September construction may be permitted with approval
  • The campground has underground infrastructure — do not dig without permission

Deck Size & Structures

  • Decks are limited to 10 feet wide, measured from the main body of the camper (excluding pull-outs)
  • Deck length may not exceed the length of the camper
  • Steps must be included within the deck design
  • Existing decks are grandfathered

Site Boundaries

  • The site post (number) is the limit to your site.
  • No permanent object is to be placed towards the road from the site post.
  • This allows for easier parking of campers.

Landscaping

  • Items placed into the ground (including plants, gravel, and patio stones) become part of Cedar Cove Camping and may not be removed upon departure

Fireworks

  • Fireworks are not permitted anywhere on the campground or beach area

Liability

  • Guests are responsible for their own safety and personal belongings. Cedar Cove Camping is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Policy Compliance

  • Failure to comply with campground policies may result in warnings or removal from the campground without refund.
